Cervical Cytology
Women aged 24-65 years are recommended to have regular cervical smears to check that the neck of the womb is healthy and there are no signs of any changes that could develop into cancer. The examination is simple and not painful. An appointment is automatically sent every 5 years.
Asthma & Diabetes
Our practice nurses hold clinics regularly with an emphasis on self care and health promotion.
Family Planning
We offer a full range of services including contraceptive pill and coil. A trained family planning nurse is available for consultation. Routine pill requests (including requests for the morning after pill) can be dealt with during morning surgery or by requesting a repeat prescription.

It offers advice & information, condoms, pregnancy testing, emergency contraception (morning after pill), and waccess to all forms of contraception. No appointment is required for this, just pop in between 3.30 - 6.00pm.
Ante-natal
This clinic is held on Thursday afternoons and is run by a team of midwives from Heartlands hospital. If you think you are pregnant please see a doctor as early as possible in normal surgery for a check up. The doctor will confirm the pregnancy and arrange for you to see the midwife. The midwife will be responsible for providing the remainder of your antenatal care.
Well Baby Clinic
This is held on Tuesday afternoons 1.30 – 3.00 pm. A doctor, two nurses and the health visitors run the clinic. Appointments will be sent by post for routine checks and immunisations. You can have your baby immunised at other times by booking with the practice nurse. We would be grateful if children who are poorly are seen during normal surgery hours.
